As part of the centenary of the consecration of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Paris as the Cathedral for Europe of the Episcopal Church, you will find enclosed an invitation to participate in the celebrations alongside our American friends.

The Episcopal Church in the United States was founded in 1789 after the American Revolution and marks the separation of the Church of England and from the British monarch, the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

It is headed by a Presiding Bishop, elected for a nine-year term. He acts as a pastor, a leader and also as a representative of the Church both within and outside the Anglican Communion. Michael Bruce Curry is the 27th Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the USA. He will be present and will officiate at the celebrations of this beautiful centenary.
